My Sketch of the Chauvet Owl

An image of an owl is engraved in France’s beautiful Chauvet-Pont d’Arc cave.

Where:
 The cave is located in southern France (Ardeche).

When Discovered:
 The cave was discovered in 1994.

Age:
 The engraving may be around 30,000 years old.

Interesting Owl Feature:
 The owl appears to be looking backward.

Documentary: 
The film Cave of Forgotten Dreams is a wonderful documentary about the Chauvet cave.
